Facilities Technician II

Netflix, the leading online movie and television subscription service, seeks a Facility Technician to support our Headquarters in Los Gatos, CA. This position assists in the operation and maintenance of the Company’s facility. We are looking for a Facilities Technician to complete a variety of responsibilities. This position also requires an ability to interface with all levels of the organisation with good communication and customer service. 

As part of a growing Los Gatos facilities team you will be responsible for coordinating the day to day facility activities of general repairs and maintenance, such as, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, cabling, utilities, painting, patching, pest control, janitorial, digital signage, furniture and equipment set ups and reconfigurations.

Responsibilities:

  • General building maintenance and knowledge of building systems and support vendors
  • Repair/maintenance of building doors, cabinets, plumbing, etc.
  • Troubleshoots, evaluates and makes recommendations for maintenance operations systems and equipment
  • Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools/equipment used in facility maintenance
  • Monitors landscaping, common area and parking facilities
  • General labor including, loading/unloading, moving materials, and running errands for project
  • Inventory management and organization of materials throughout the property
  • Occasional driving of rental vehicle and GEM cars
  • Lead event facilities support (NEC, Company Meeting, Theater meetups) for set-up, breakdown and participation as needed
  • Support and supervise outside vendors, including custodial/janitorial
  • Proficient in reading diagrams/instructions and assemble furniture/workstations to spec
  • Ticket and service request management and distribution of duties, open update and
  • close tickets
  • On call availability, flexible schedule for off hours/emergency support

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in a maintenance/facilities role in a Corporate environment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience managing workload in a ticketing/job tracking system
  • Talent and/or certification in a trade such as carpentry, low voltage wiring, etc. is a plus
  • Strong mechanical and technical skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced, fluid environment
  • Attention to detail
