The Manager of Originals Publicity, Thailand will be based in Singapore and will work as part of the Originals Publicity team to formulate and implement strategy in Thailand for the growing slate of Netflix original series and film. The position will provide a critical link in actualising brilliant title campaigns focused solely to drive business impact and growth in Thailand. It’s the chance to be part of changing the entertainment landscape across the globe and to seize the opportunity to take a different approach in managing and executing promotional and publicity campaigns.
The Manager will be a key member of a dedicated cross-functional team bringing to life original series, films and documentaries title campaigns to life in Thailand. They will drive innovative Thai publicity strategy for our Thai originals and global titles, whilst drawing on our incredible slate of content to drive our business in Thailand. They will independently formulate, and drive creative and executable ideas, communicate priorities and present clear goals to stakeholders partnering closely with a cross-functional team of marketing, social, and partner marketing counterparts. The ideal candidate will use sound judgement to make wise decisions, think strategically and drive their team members to do the same.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and understand the Thai consumer and have a strong grasp on the quickly evolving editorial media landscape. They will also not be afraid to challenge prevailing assumptions when warranted, and suggest better approaches; they will make tough decisions without agonizing and will be candid and direct, even when that approach might be controversial. They are scrappy, unafraid to jump in and handle tasks at all levels and they thrive in an environment void of bureaucracy and layers.
The day to day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, formulating and implementing Thai publicity strategies, writing press releases, managing set visit nominations, scheduling international junkets, liaising with journalists, talent relations, implementing screening strategy and managing Publicity agencies.
The successful candidate for Publicity Manager for Indonesia will have at least 7-10 years of entertainment experience in an agency, studio, network, or entertainment journalism setting. They have relationships with key media as well as the ability to build and maintain connections with key journalists and social media influencers. Thai and English fluency (written/oral) are requirements. College degree is required.
