Metadata Specialist, Interactive Originals

The RoleNetflix is looking for a Metadata Specialist to join our Enhanced Content team, based in our Los Gatos, CA, headquarters. We work to connect our 100+ million users with the movies and TV shows they love, and this role will contribute in a unique way by creating unprecedented information architecture and editorial metadata for our upcoming Interactive Content slate. The Metadata Specialist will report into our Content Infrastructure Manager and partner tightly with Product Innovation teams such as Design and Creative, as well as with engineering teams like UI and Content Platform. The role will require a superstar who can smartly bounce between editorial strategy sessions with Design and Product Management, and data model creation or asset debugging sessions with UI Development and QA Engineering teams.The ResponsibilitiesThe Metadata Specialist is responsible for creating, adapting and maintaining unique, episode-level metadata for Netflix’s global Interactive Originals titles. The Specialist is responsible for collaborating with a myriad of internal teams to ensure timely creation of metadata recipes and fulfillment of new episodes coming onto the service. The Specialist is also integral in providing feedback about new user requirements for internal, proprietary tools unique to this slate of the catalog, as well as providing insight and support into A/B tests, focus groups, or other market research. Director of Product Innovation - Creative Personalization
