Quantitative Research Operations Specialist

We are seeking someone passionate about the logistics side of quant survey research to support the Consumer Insights team in its goal to deliver impactful consumer research that create a competitive advantage and move the company forward.  Seeking someone who is eager to improve how quant survey research is done at Netflix and be responsible for logistics, operations, quality control and innovation in support of research projects across the consumer insights team, we’d love to talk.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Quantitative Research Execution

  • Setting up and launching member surveys (pulling sample from our database, managing lists, quality control, etc.)
  • Coordinating with internal and external localization and translation partners
  • Field management (monitor quotas, specs, timelines)
  • Backend processing (oversee coding of open ends, transform data into useful formats, etc.)

Vendor Management

  • Serve as primary point of for our quant vendors (e.g field, sample, tool vendors)
  • Identify and share new innovations and tools in the industry
  • Screen new vendors and negotiate contracts
  • Work with team to ensure quality of delivery

Research Innovation

  • Identify opportunities for innovation with internal processes, data tools, and external partners and make change happen.
  • Monitor trends in the industry and share key insights with the broader team.
  • Identify ways to improve response rates from members

Qualifications

  • 3+ years working in a market research department, or at a market research company/research field company specializing in quantitative research operations
  • Bachelors degree
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Proven experience in project management and in managing/negotiating with vendors
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to working with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to make sound independent decisions, while knowing when to escalate issues
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Strong proficiency with spreadsheets.  Familiarity with SPSS and/or other data software
