| The Position: |
| The Gaming Platforms team is a newly forming group responsible for prototyping, testing and building the Netflix experience for gaming consoles. Over the last ten years, Netflix has developed the world’s best personalization and movie finding technology – this team’s challenge is to bring it to gaming consoles and create a fantastic experience used every day by our growing subscriber base of over 10 million customers. In this role we need an engineer with experience developing media rich applications on current generation gaming consoles. Candidates will be very technical, strong C++ programmers, and execution focused. Expect to work on a small team with a huge mandate to rapidly prototype and iterate on a variety of platforms. Only stars can get it done and your skills will be key. Here is your cheat sheet for the interview: You are deeply technical and bring a strong need to understand and build technology. You have years of experience building software on the current generation gaming consoles. You are familiar with one or more of those consoles, the technical hurdles associated with them, and the means of navigating those hurdles. You are a great partner for your product management, engineering and design colleagues. You consistently deliver and colleagues want to work with you. You desire a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You can run with fuzzy requirements, make great judgment calls, and are comfortable with smart risk taking. You want to make a difference at a company that matters. Other languages, such as C, Java, a plus. • Strong software engineering in the console gaming space. • Experience with digital media on one or more gaming consoles. |
